PRIVACY NOTICE

1. Who we are

Singorfling.com ("we", "us") operates the Sing or Fling live karaoke arena at singorfling.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Questions? Email support@singorfling.com.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data: email address, username, display name, chosen role (Singer or Flinger), and login credentials managed by our authentication provider.
• Activity data: queue entries, performance slots, Love reactions, fruit flings, fruit balance, and leaderboard scores.
• Live performance data: when you take the stage, your camera and microphone feed is transmitted peer-to-peer to viewers in that room in real time. We do not record or store your video or audio.
• Support messages: anything you send us by email.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and usage/telemetry logs used for security and diagnostics.

We do not take payments, so no payment or card details are collected at all.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• Creating and running your account, the queue, and the stage — performance of our contract with you.
• Security, abuse and fraud prevention, and keeping the service stable — our legitimate interests.
• Improving features and fixing bugs — our legitimate interests.
• Responding to support requests — performance of our contract.
• Optional marketing emails — your consent, withdrawable at any time.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, realtime messaging, and error-monitoring providers acting on our instructions.
• Professional advisers: legal and accounting advisers where needed.
• Authorities: where we are required to disclose by law.

Your username, role, reactions, and leaderboard position are visible to other users of the arena by design.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. Retention

We keep account and activity data for as long as your account is open, and for up to 12 months after closure to resolve disputes and prevent abuse. Diagnostic records are kept for as long as the law requires (typically 6–7 years). Live video and audio are never stored. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Email support@singorfling.com and we will respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on our database, and restricted administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to operate the arena. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but the app will not work properly without the essential ones.

10. Children

Sing or Fling is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
